How Do I Set Up My DNS / Use Your DNS

DNS is used with more experienced users, where the domain name points directly to a 'IP address'. Most Paid Domain users use the URL forwarding, where the underlying website is registered somewhere else, just like the URL forwarding service with Free Domain.

If you want to use your own DNS, you have two choices:

  1. You can opt to use the Dot TK DNS Service, where within My Dot TK you can setup your A and MX records.
  2. You can use an external DNS. Please consult your Internet or Hosting Provider for these options.

PLEASE NOTE: Be careful with changing the DNS settings for your Paid Domain domain name. Wrong settings will directly result in unavailibility of your domain name on the Internet.

If you do change the DNS settings, it will take up to 15 minutes for these changes to take effect worldwide.
